If

I’ve decided to take a break from talking about The Possible European MisAdventure 2011 for a while, and focus more on the present.  Don’t get me wrong, I’m still going to obsessively track flight prices (particularly at 3pm on Tuesdays, as that’s been proven to be the best time to find low fares).  But I realize that my hyper-focused state of being only works with one thing at a time.  And for now, that one thing needs to be my book proposal.

Now…as I’m sure you all know by now, I’m working on this book proposal for The World is Your Classroom: An Educational Guide to Walt Disney World.  And I need to do some research so that I can write my sample chapter.  This means that I might need to invest some time and money in the project.

If I were to do this research the right way, I just might need to go to the actual parks to do it.  If I did that, I’d probably go for a long weekend.  If I went for a long weekend, I’d probably wait until the threat of snow passed so as to not disrupt my flight.  I’d also want to make it down there and back well before spring break season.  Again, these are all ifs.

But, in thinking about it, if I decided to invest said time and money in this research, I’d want the best deal possible.  Every dollar saved is a dollar more that can be put towards future trips and/or the advancement of this book idea.  So I probably would have booked that trip pretty far in advance.  Say, two and a half months in advance.  But then again, I did start working on this book proposal back in December.

Did I mention the word ‘if’?

Because if I did this, I’d likely need some time off from work.  And I’m fresh out of personal days.

But I do feel a bit of a flu coming on, albeit slowly.  Cough.  Cough cough cough…

Cough.
