Good News and Bad News

The good news: my husband is on board with a last minute holiday trip (in lieu of any Christmas presents…or birthday presents…or Valentines day presents…you get the idea). He even selected Belize as his number one option–yay!
The bad news: there really is no such thing as a last minute holiday travel deal. Crap.
Oh well. I guess that’s what summer vacation is for, right? Sigh….
Actually, some cruise lines do offer some great last minute deals. If you are a AAA member, check with one of their travel agents. I bet you could find a cruise that would work- some even include discounted air fare. Maybe a Mexican cruise- Pacific area. Or Carribeian (sp???). Maybe even the Greek Isles- though air fare might nix that one.
actually, i did find a reasonably priced cruise–exactly the cruise i want to go on (barbados and a bunch of the ‘st’ islands i want to see) BUT airfare to san juan on the dates i’d need is $800 per person…more than we paid to go to london in july! i’m going to keep searching, though!
